So… One of my goals for 2014 is to improve my fitness.
British Military Fitness organises a charity challenge in the end of March http://http://www.majorseries.com/, which could be a great goal and a certain mile-stone for me. And also a great motivation to dig out my running shoes… I am still not 100% sure why I signed up for it. Running has never been my thing.. I never ever attempted running more than 2km, and I thought that was too much for me. In fact, I didn’t do more than regular yoga classes in the last few years. Well, it will definitely be a challenge for me to run 10km with over 20 obstacles on my way in a 10-week time.
Why am I doing it? It’s not about the run, not even about getting fit… At the end of the day, it is all about Will, about an ability to push oneself beyond the limits, about persistence in pursuing one’s dreams. I know, it is a tough test for me, but doing it will boost my self-belief. I know that I am doing it for that feeling, which I will have at the finish line – that I CAN DO IT, and EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE. It is my way to prove to myself what I am worth. What is yours?
And also, I am sure it will be a lot of fun
